Hotel Amerikan

Fantastic Hotel, all of the staff were so helpful and courteous, even providing us with a picnic each as we left before 7am, a lovely touch. Food lovely, wine fantastic and very reasonable. As a last comment we loved the visits to the bar of some local dogs, really lovely for us dog lovers. We loved the walk along the river in to the town, great when we didn’t ski. Highly recommended Thank you Hotel Amerikan we will see you again.

At the American Hotel, the access point is outdated and has limited bandwidth. They have different breakfast rules compared to other hotels, but they may not inform you of these rules in a timely manner. You must eat breakfast every day at the same table, but they do not tell you when you arrive at the hotel or at breakfast. This can be confusing for customers, and it would be helpful if they had someone to inform them of the rules when they arrive at the breakfast restaurant. During breakfast, the cleaning staff may put chairs on top of tables, making it a strange experience while you are eating (during the breakfast hours). Additionally, it can be tedious to sit at the same table every day, which is why many people prefer to have the option to change tables. Another issue with the hotel is that they are very strict about the breakfast ending at 9:30 AM, which means that even the automatic coffee machine will be switched off by 9:25 AM. Lastly, the heating radiator in the bedroom was not functioning, and the reception's reaction was not satisfactory. Although they promised to set the temperature higher, it would not have helped since the radiator was not working at all.

A very good hotel. Good room. Elevator. Excellent food. Kind people. Good ski storage room, individual lockers with warm air vents. The water in the jacuzzi is a bit cold. The room temperature is good, maybe too hot, but the bathroom heater doesn't work. The problem is drying clothes after the pool. I recommend this hotel.

Very nice hotel in a good location. The room (we stayed în a large room with a separate small slepping attic for kids) was very nice and clean. Good services. The only minus is the restaurant where they accept clients that are no guests of the hotel but they get the best seating in the restaurant. Also understaffed in the restaurant. Still, the waiters were very nice people struggling hardly to make you feel well.
